On and from the spacious yard of The Pothaar you can do a lot! Walking, sailing with the Zomp, enjoying the terrace, a look at the museum or camping with your camper, it's all possible!

Farm museum visits?

In our farm museum history comes to life. In different time rooms you can see costumes, paintings, crockery, photos and all kinds of objects. So you get a good idea of Salland farm life from past to present.

Hiking: Visit the star forest

On our estate, the centuries-old star forest was restored in 2018. A visit is worthwhile. Walk there along the Old Schipbeek and admire the diversity of trees.

Enjoy on the terrace

On our covered terrace you can enjoy coffee with raisin bread, or another snack. Take a breather after a bike ride and enjoy the view of the Salland scenery.

Sail with the Zomp

View our estate from the water and take a trip on our Zomp. This flat-bottomed boat is a replica of the former zompen. In the 19th century sailors used them to carry their trade to the Hanseatic city of Deventer. Now you can take a picnic basket with you - enjoy!

Stay overnight

Farmhouse Rooms: The atmosphere of the past and the comfort of today. Experience it yourself in our spacious farm rooms, with private shower and toilet. In the kitchen our guests make coffee or tea, and at breakfast we naturally serve an egg from our free-range chickens.↵. Farm Apartments: Our two larger farm apartments are great for longer stays. Besides a cozy living room, the apartments have a kitchen, a separate bedroom with shower and toilet. On the terrace you have a beautiful view over the meadows.↵. With the motorhome: Our camper places have lots of privacy, their own electricity and a general shower and toilet area. The RVs are close to the Old Schipbeek, which flows behind our yard.
