Winter in the Fortress is an atmospheric winter event in the fortified town of Elburg in the zeitgeist of the year 1900. In the run-up to Christmas, the beautiful, old fortress is a wonderful backdrop and as you walk through the streets and alleys there is something to see or experience everywhere.
The event is created by residents and many of them are dressed up in 1900s style. There will be lots of entertainment such as music, dancing and theater. The inner man is also thought of. By one of the many fire pits you can warm up with a mulled wine, chocolate milk or one of the many other delicacies. The Christmas market has atmospheric stalls including beautiful brocante items.
